“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, And over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you; but rather rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20

Dear Reader,

Jesus gives us power our enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us. We are not to rejoice in this but in our names being written in heaven. I will rejoice in the things above and not on this earth “because the foolishness of God is wiser than men” (1 Corinthians 1:25). Even God’s foolishness and weakness is stronger than the things of the world and man so I will rejoice in Him. When your faith, trust and hope are in Jesus, He will reveal to you how “wise men who follow the flesh” are not doing the will of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:29 says: “That no flesh should glory in his presence”. What the “wise men after the flesh” are doing may look good to a man looking at them through worldly eyes but to a man of God, it is nothing because it did not come from God. Matthew 16:13-17 tells us that Jesus asked his disciples,”Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Now pay close attention to what Jesus told Simon in verse 17: Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. HALLELUJAH! As children of God, our Father will give us everything if we follow HIM and not the flesh. The flesh cannot connect you to the Father in heaven, only a relationship with Jesus can. No man can serve two masters: “for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon”. Matthew 6:24

Wise men after the flesh are not serving our Father in heaven. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. If you serve Him with all your heart he will give you everything you NEED. Choose Jesus today. God Bless. This is the time of the year we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the only Savior of the World!

Yours in Jesus
