To act is to do, to go is to act

According to Romans 10:14-15 that says “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” Good news being hope, love, faith, redemption, forgiveness. All this and more in the crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ son of the living God!

In my observation a lot of us Christians are stagnant with Jesus. YES we love Him and try to follow Him but do we tell of Him? I am so enamored every time I read Acts. It was a bad time and yet still that had this mindset of bad isn’t bad when good is in it. And that good being IN Christ, living FOR Christ and telling OF Christ Amen! As I was reading and trying to put this together I sensed a tug on my spirit man to remind us for His sake to “seek and to save that which is lost.” Look around my fellow saints the times we live in, our precious Lord and Savior is on His way. we are His hands and feet here in this world that is not our home. Someone told me of the good news and now I’m counted amongst the righteous. Twelve disciples He empowered to change the game. How much more can He do thru us? He said greater works shall we do. So go my brothers and sisters. Act, show and tell how the lost get found.

I leave you with the following questions:

What hinders you?

How much more can He do thru you?

What can you do to tell others of Jesus?

“Hindsight”

I’m so lost,
It’s so real,
I need help,
I don’t know how to deal.
Let alone what to do,
With this drink in my gut,
Dope smoke in my hand,
Heart hurting so bad,
Yearning for change,
Caught up in the clan,
Vision killas,
Who don’t understand,
No hope for the future
Neither a plan,
Trapped in the streets
Dreamn but blinkn on low beams,
Dim lights fogged from fear
Fright of the unknowns
To depart from the clones.
Then what?
Knock knock…
Yeah whaz up?
I came…
Thinkn in tough,
I open up to
“Lay down ya life
and pick up mine,
I love you so much.
I’m that guy,
Immanuel is my name
Grace is your gain
Because I love you
Is why I came.
I’ve chosen you
To spread the good news
In my son
The ONLY risen one.
I give you a choice
So what do you choose?
Chains broken and burdens loosed.
I guarantee
you’ll never go wrong
I hold you up
And carry you in both arms
YES and you’ll see
NO and it will be,
Big fun smile,
Only for a while,
Then…
Comes the comedown
Maybe too late,
Remember you chose your own fate.

Favor – Terri N. Reese-Green

“Favor”

Today’s sermon will be called “Favor.” Most of us want someone to favor us. We want favor even when we have done nothing for it. But the Lord tells us about favor in the book of Proverbs 31. The scripture reading is Proverbs 31:30. Let us read it together. Now many different bibles have different meanings, but mind says favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but the woman that feareth the Lord she shall be praised. Now let us look more at the scripture.

Today’s churches can be full of favor and have positions given because of beauty but most of us call that favor. For example, I go to a church here at the prison and in the prison there are people who are gay and they are the ones who run most of the things that go on around here. They are shown favor over what songs are sung and the reading of scripture is done by their friends. Those who live like the Lord would have them to are pushed to the side. It reminds me of James chapter 2 – real faith does not have favorites). You have no idea how hard it is to live as a Christian here in prison and if it’s like that here it is like that others place too, we can be sure. Some of us just look to Jesus and don’t care who is running what. We sing together no matter how we live but have no idea that Jesus is not in all that. Jesus wants true worship not just singing worship, but a worship that comes from the heart and lifestyle.

Well the only favor that will last will be that of Jesus Christ. He will reward us with favor that will not run out. Have you ever been used by someone who claims that they gave you favor? Man has a way of using people and calling it favor. Some bibles call the word charm, and most people are good at charm. Is charm a liar really? Well just remember that God loves us just the way he made us and we don’t need anybody else’s favor. Are we winning favor for this life or the next one? God bless you.
WELL I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THIS TO FAVOUR I WANT YOU TO KNOW WHAT CHURCH DOES THESE TYPE OF THINGS. I GO TO A CHURCH HERE AT THE PRISON, AND IN THE PRISON MOST PEOPLE ARE GAY, AND THEY ARE THE ONES WHO RUN MOST OF THE THINGS THAT GO ONE AROUND HERE. FAVOUR FOR SONGS SONG AND THE READING OF SCRIPTURE IS FOR THERE FRIENDS, THOSE WHO LIVE LIKE THE LORD WOULD HAVE THEM ARE PUSHED TO THE SIDE IT REMINDS ME OF JAMES CHAPTER TWO REAL FAITH DOES NOT HAVE FAVOURS. AND YOU DON’T HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT IS TO LIVE AS A CHRISTIAN HERE IN THE PRISON. AND IF ITS LIKE THAT HERE IT IS OTHER PLACES TOO. SOME OF US JUST LOOK TO JESUS AND DON’T CARE WHO IS RUNNING WHAT. WE SING TOGETHER NO MATTER HOW WE LIVE. BUT HAVE NO IDEA THAT JESUS IS NOT IN ALL THAT. JESUS WANT TRUE WORSHIP NOT JUST SINGING WORSHIP, BUT A WORSHIP THAT COME FROM THE HEART AND LIFE STYLE. GOD BLESS YOU TERRI

What Does God Hate? – Terri N. Reese-Green

“What Does God Hate”

Today’s sermon will be called “What Does God Hate?” Today most preachers are called angry or mad when they preach the truth about God’s word. Most of us love John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosever believeth in him will not be lost but will have life everlasting.” And we hear this scripture. But when to turn to Proverbs 6:16-19 it talks about what God hates. Let us read them together. “These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Now did you see yourself in any of these? Are these things that are among Christians? Well these things should not be among Christians but the most of these things are found in the church. What can we do about that? Can we talk more about what God hates, or does grace cover this too? These are all the things of Satan. Let us talk about what God hates and as we talk about it, tell people this is the Good News. Not the bad news but the good news.

Murmur Not – Terri N. Reese-Green

“Murmur Not”

Today’s sermon will be “Murmur Not.” Have you ever went to church and they had an altar call? And maybe 10 people went up to the altar. Some went because their friends went. Some went because their mother went. Some went because their father went but as we look at the word of God we will see that no man can come to the Father unless He draw Him. And I will raise Him up at the last day. It’s written in the prophets and they shall be all taught of God. What does this say? And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that have heard, and have learned of the Father, cometh to me. If you believeth on me you shall have everlasting life. No one else can give you everlasting life. Who have you learned from? Who has drawn you to Christ? Have you ever kept going to the altar and nothing happened. Who drew you to the altar? Who did you go for?

God bless,
Terri

What’s On Your List – David Turner

“What’s on your List?”
By David Turner

2 Cor 5:10 – “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of CHRIST, so we each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether goog or bad.”

Per the John Macarthur Commentary:

Recompensed means – “To receive back what is due”

Good means – “Anything that has been done to bring glory to God.”

Bad means – “Anything deemed worthless or useless, like – taking a walk or going shopping for groceries.”

So here you stand before Jesus, He sits there before His computer. He enters your name & Bam, He has a list of everything you have ever done. Everything that falls under SIN is filtered out.(we all know why right) Praise God.

He hits a key and everything that was done for reasons other than bringing glory to God is removed.

All that remains is what you have done for the glory of God.

What does your list look like now?

If you were to compare it to the men in the Parable of the Talents…

Are you the man that was given five talents or the man given two talents or do you fall into the latter (the man given one talent)?

Distinguish Truth From False Teaching – Terri N. Reese-Green

“Distinguish Truth from False Teaching”
By Terri N. Reese-Green

Today’s sermon will be called “Distinguish Truth from False Teaching.” The word of God tells us that we cannot believe every spirit but that we should test the spirits to see if they be of God. Because everyone that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God. In the book of 1 John 4:6 many say that Jesus is this that and the other, but many won’t say that he came in the flesh. It’s hard for many to believe that the flesh could take all that Jesus took upon himself. But we must believe on the scriptures as they have said. You can’t believe every spirit, because many false spirits are gone out into the world. They do everything that that Christian does, they sing, dance, read, preach, shout, they have the Christian copied to the bone, and know nothing about Jesus. So Jesus asks us to test the spirits and see if they be of God. Do they preach God or themselves in their teaching. Let us keep in mind that this walk is all about Jesus and nothing else will last. God bless you. Keep studying that which Jesus loves.
